All dye colors are made from all natural, non toxic water soluble colors that have been independently tested. HERE ARE A FEW HELPFUL TIPS WHEN USING A DYED MULCH.

• AVOID RAINY DAYS, WE RECOMMEND 6 TO 10 HRS OF DRYING TIME AFTER MULCH IS APPLIED.
• DUMP BULK MULCH ON A TARP, HEAVY RAINS MAY WASH COLOR OFF OF THE MULCH AND STAIN DRIVEWAYS.
• WEAR OLD CLOTHING AND GLOVES WHEN APPLIYING MULCH.
• IF AN AREA BECOMES STAINED, USE SOAP AND WATER AND A STIFF BRUSH TO REMOVE. EVEN THOUGH IT IS A WATER BASED DYE IT CAN BE DIFFICULT TO REMOVE AFTER IT DRYS
  
  Note: When Color enhanced Mulch is applied correctly mulch will stay full color for an entire season and in some cases longer.

Pine Mulches

Shredded Pine Bark Mini Pine Nuggets Fine Pine Mulch

Shredded Pine Bark

Pine Bark is made fro the bark of pine trees. Ground twice to give the bark a consistent texture, this mulch is auburn in color. This product is great for acid loving plants such as azaleas. However, this product is not recommended for use on steep slopes. We recommend a base of 3 inches when applied. Lighter application may wash away in heavy rains.

Mini Pine Nuggets

Also made from the bark of pine trees. Mini nuggets are processed through a special sized screen to produce a more uniform bark nugget. We also recommend this product not be applied on steep slopes because of its tendency to wash in heavy rains.

Fine Pine Mulch

Virginia's Finest Pine Bark, auburn in color, a more acidic mulch.

Premium Hardwood Bark

Double Shredded Hardwood Mulch

Hardwood mulch is made with a blend of Virginia's finest hardwoods. Ground twice for a consistent texture, uniform in size and rich in color.

When mulching new beds, it's best to install at least a 4 inch base to assist with weed control and help your valuable bedding plants and trees retain moisture. If a base is already established, we recommend a 2 inch layer.

Soft One Playground Mulch is an all natural engineered wood fiber that meets the American Standards for Testing Material (ASTM) and the specifications for Impact Attenuation Wheelchair Accessible as required by the ADA. Yard Works can install 100 cubic yards or more with our Blower Trucks for commercial playgrounds, public and private schools and day cares.

Non-Certified Playground Chips

Non-Certified Playground Chips

Playground Chips are less expensive and made from all natural debarked chips. These chips are dust free and may vary in size. When installed at the suggested depth, Playground Chipswill add a shock absorbing surface which can help reduce injury on the playground.
